Teddymobil Project
Children between 3
and 10 years of age are able to learn about mechanics, centrifugal force,
magnetism, electrics and much more. Many technical phenomena can be experienced
and tested. Metal can be used as an experimental material in both creative ways
and as technical add-ons to the Teddymobil..
The Teddymobil can be constantly expanded, it is therefore never
finished and can therefore be used as a methodology to spark off or carry on
experimentation amongst both girls and boys.
The Teddymobil was developed by trainee kindergarten teachers
in the Berufsbildenden Schulen VII in Braunschweig and the
Richard-von-Weizsäcker Berufskolleg in Lüdinghausen, by apprentices from VW and
by teachers in co-operating kindergartens. Various test and project phases
including one in a primary school in den Haag in the Netherlands, lead to
technical improvements.
