| Preparation: Coloured paper, red, yellow, blue plastic filters, electrical wire,
scissors, Pritt sticks, mirrors. | Steps: The children look through coloured filters and notice that their
environment looks changed. They compare the filters and discover that the
different colours let different amounts of light through. They put the
filters on top of each other and see that a grey tone as with sun glasses is
the result. They express the desire to make colour eyeglasses
and make these from the prepared material. Afterwards they
experiment with the finished eyeglasses and coloured drawings, in order to
find out which filter lets which colour through. |

  | Scientific Explanation: Colour filters filter the light and prevent certain colours from
reaching the eye. The entire environment is immersed in the respective colour
  - red for example -; red things however cannot be seen any more. | Possible Variation: Making of 3-D-glasses with a red and a green colour cutout and use of
  these eyeglasses when watching a 3-D-Film. |
