Activity 5: Taking photos

Target group: Children of 3 to 6 years in kindergarten

Aim: Children take photos independently

Where: Group area, garden

How long? Approx. 1 hour

What? Take photos with a normal camera usually sold in shops.

Preparation:

Materials: Camera, film (not inserted).

Steps: Children insert the film into the

camera. In the discussion it is clarified that no light

may fall on the film and that the camera cannot be opened again until

the film is "full" (see pinhole camera). The children may

take photos at will.
